The 1190RS in person.
I was at the MSTA Twistar rally in Spring Green WI. this weekend and they were driving back to East Troy after doing some testing and saw all the bikes in the lot and stopped to see what it was about.
Unloaded it and let us drool over it.

It looks so tiny, like the wet weight is 200lbs.

I am still not in favor of the exhaust.
Let's not let the marketers design this thing... smaller is lighter is faster.
Look at the subframe. It looks like it's made of toothpicks.
Neat looking is fine, but let a racebike be light... and let the form follow the function. Fashion will catch up to passion eventually.
I dig the weird brakelight and tail portion. The first thought is, "Why the heck would they design it like that." And the second thought is, "Because there ain't no extra unnecessary space back there for hanging stupid shit like reflectors, so they slap them on in the easiest place possible and move on to the stuff that matters."
Cool.

Amen to that, brutha. I'll bet that tail light unplugs real easy for a trackday as well.
What an awesome story.

Looks sweet! The exhaust doesn't bother me ... though I wonder about the large collector (?) under the motor. It's large, and seems so close to the rear tire. I'm surprised it doesn't negatively affect the tire when good and hot.

Standing in front of you is living proof that Americans can design and build world class sport bikes.
Your reactions indicate that if the price were right, you'd snatch them up like hot cakes.
EBR can compete on the open world market.
Further invalidated Harley Davidson and their stupid decision making process.
Jackasses gave away their own future.
At this point in my life - you couldn't give me an HD - I'd piss on it, and drop it off, urine soaked to a nearby dealer (if I could find one - they all seem to have gone away lately...)
C'mon Erik - make it stick this time - give me a bike I can afford!!!!!

For some reason it to me it kinda resembles one of those pro stock drag bikes. I think it's the shape of the fairing maybe.

IIRC, when someone asked about the exhaust, the whole emissions schpeel was the reason given for its ugliness.
Hell, I'd just end up taking it off and have Keda-Design throw one on there for me.

Go lay some paint over a lightweight carbon-fiber body and keep the paint under 15 oz and get back to me. Thats the carbon weave you see under the paint.

The assorted safety specs mean the fender needs to cover the rear tire. Even if there is no bike back there.
I see fender eliminators being a dealer installed option on roughly 100% of these bikes...
