I like how they saw the group of bikes and pulled over, out of curiosity. Sounds like a cool bunch of guys.

Go lay some paint over a lightweight carbon-fiber body and keep the paint under 15 oz and get back to me. Thats the carbon weave you see under the paint.
I think its all just clear-coat...

Erik spent the past 10 years trying to get us to buy his affordable bikes.
And many of his 'dealers' spent that same amount of time trying not to sell them.
Don't look at me. I bought mine after he was shown the door!

I never met a Hardly dealer actually pushing Buells. That any were sold at all is nearly a miracle. If anything, it got worse treatment from the dealers and would-be customers than the V-Rod, another Hardly orphan.
And of course, the V-Rod and the Buell were the only things in the HD inventory that even vaguely interested me.

Camouflage. They park that at a hotel while on the road, it's not going to draw much interest, no one would suspect the one of a kind six-figure prototype inside.

WOW.....Im glad we have you to point that out..lOL....I might have painted several.....THAT is a poor finish in anyone's book. They should have left it alone and just cleared it. Looks like poor carbon to me. Good quality carbon is smooth. Other shots of the sides dont look that bad...
15oz huh.....You obviously dont know much about paint sir so I will leave it at that.....
You obviously know how the GP and WSBK guys paint a quality finish on there bikes..please tell...My 27 years experience wants to know..

No freaking idea how the GP and WSBK guys do it but I have applied a shit ton of paint on high performance aircraft, some of which had carbon fiber parts and it looked just like that. Oh and

I think it IS clear, and the clear coat looks pretty dang smooth in the pics to me. I think on the top of the tank, you're just seeing distortions of the reflections from the pattern of the weave under the clear...

Looks fast standing still. Looks like a featherweight too! They need to add more aluminum/magnesium/CF parts to bling it up some more. Maybe use Titanium for the exhaust. I'd buy one if I had the $$. For now I'll have to settle for its cousin.

The bike is just pure hot. Not a fan of the exhaust either, but you can sacrifice a couple of ponies and pull it off. That'd do me.

I didn't even notice the exhaust, had to go back and see what the heck the problem supposedly was. Looks like side mounted exhaust to me. Sweet looking bike!

The exhaust is both under and side. I don't see a problem with it.

I like the underslung. Neat an tucked away without risk of damage or burning you in a fall. I'd sacrifice the 2HP to take off the extension assuming I could ever afford to get one.
I dropped my bike on new tyres a couple of weeks ago. It was a RH drop. The bike was ridable - even though I was off to hospital and can't ride for a few more weeks. The exhaust and swingarm would have gone on an RS.

Erik spent the past 10 years trying to get us to buy his affordable bikes.
Really?
Maybe 7 of the ten, I bought 5 XB's before he quit trying at all
The lightning and Ulysses did fine, it was the back up stock of the Pod bikes that caused a Buell log Jam even while in a down market some manufactures were selling more units.
If the 2008 1125 looked more like this bike, then Buell would have not been retired. But back then 2008 they were defending the Frankin-Bike and making fun of bikes that looked like this; attractive; saleable; normal.
This one took $5,000 rebates, so looks do matter.
