I've got this headset. It's not bad, and for that price its a BUY! But be aware it's EOL and is not supported by Parrot any longer.

That is a kick ass price. I love the features, and with the remote it blows away any other blue tooth headset for music and cell phone calls (no intercom).
BUT -- it's a mite quiet on the highway. Can't hear the tunes all that well, and I was looking for a comparable unit with better volume. Maybe it's the deep ear pockets of the Arai helmet.
If you are solely around town, you simply cannot beat that parrot for $50.

It has adjustable volume, in the settings. You can make it higher than the default And if you are using a phone for tunes, like a android phone, there are a few music apps that have pre amps.

In the settings, I've found that you can either have the sensing auto adjusting volume on or off, didn't see that you can make it higher than the default...will play with it tonight. THAT might be the solution.
Can you tell me how to do it? Cruise through settings, when it gets to volume check the options, and one will be for a base setting?

(i know you've been to the settings, but just in case someone else comes along)
From the remote, cycle thru radio, BT audio, to telephone. Use the volume up button (+), she'll say volume, then push the green answer button (the one on the bottom). You will hear a "ding" that repeats, push the plus (+) button, and the ding will get louder, keep going till you like it, then push the green answer button to exit...
Now I found this to be buggy at times. i.e. sometimes it works, sometimes it seems like it'll work when it wants to... anyway thats how you adjust the volume. For me, the earphones have to be
directly
over my ear canals, otherwise its not very loud at all. My helmet probably isn't the best fit either, theres a little room for the earphones to move around as I put the helmet on.
I have an android phone, I've played with "PowerAmp" and "PlayerPro". Both have pre-amps and equalizers. On the bike an equalizer isn't useful, but the pre-amp helps a lot. I ended up buying PowerAmp, PlayerPro is nice, and has a prettier UI, but I get the feeling PowerAmp is a little more "audio-technical". Both are $5, so I might end up buying PlayerPro too.
This Christmas I think I'll be looking for a BT replacement. Just cause...

If I knew that when I first bought it (just before the official US release), as I read the manual cover to cover once, I forgot. I've reset the system since, so maybe that's the issue?
Thanks much, I expect this to make a big difference.

For some reason, it's 'buggy' and not keeping the enw setting. I'll try again on a freshly charged unit.

I had a problem with mine when I first got it and they sent me a new one. I just emailed them maybe a couple weeks ago about buying a new cable to plug directly in to my blackberry to avoid the blue tooth (it's MUCH louder that way) and never heard back.
Low and behold, I get a new cable in the mail today, no explanation, but clearly exactly what i asked for. PArrot USA gets a big thumbs up for me.
I'll try it tomorrow to see how much louder it is. Haven't used the cable since I bought it a couple years ago (and lost the cable)

RESURRECTION!
Cable increased volume substantially, BTW...
SO - riding season is back and I've been using the Parrot, but when I pulled my second bike out of storage (with the Parrot remote) I discovered that the remote does NOT work with the iPhone I bought over the winter...how come?
Am I missing something? Love the remote, makes this unit more desirable to me than others, although I may just look to buy a new one...
Can't skip the song on the fact of the iPhone with gloves...may need some of that electric/magic thread that touch screens recognize sewn into my fingertips...
Any suggestions?

I'm not familiar with the Parrot system of remotes to tell you. Is the remote BT paired to the phone?
If your gloves are not heavily insulated (like a winter glove), you may not need to do anything. My warm weather gloves allow enough "whatever" through to make the screen work.
Here's a link on modding gloves for capacitive screens -

Interesting, It works with androids. Music player control, phone pickup/hangup, and the phone book dialer.

Ordered some thread. My summer gloves actually let enough skin or whatnot through to operate the screen but I still cant figure out why the remote won't work.
No one out there uses iPhone with the parrot?
