Uber-pissy here & has been for days...

The closest we'll get to anything to do with bikes today is shuffling a few around/out in the rain so that we can cut 4x8 sheets of OSB in the shop. Rolleyes  ZED took the day off so that we can work on the next step of our kitchen renovation.

5C this morning here. More rain to come today but the weekend has some breaks and I am picking up my new Conti Trail Attacks this afternoon and can't wait to give them a test.  Cool  Roads look like they have been scrubbed after all that rain the past two days.

Funny, people keep telling me how cold Edmonton is vs. Calgary,  but that's only a few days in the winter and summer.  Spring and Fall are certainly nicer up here.

Weather and pass conditions will impact my route, and which bike I decide to bring will have an effect too, thanks to the 150+ km disparity in tank ranges.

Are you heading out on the 10th too, or just thinking about a brief torrid rendezvous?   Smile

And I can't help it, I have to giggle every time I think about the "T" in KTM.  "Heh heh, he said Trunkenpolz, heh heh heh."

I meant that to Dave, John ....  Lol  Not that I would not ride out and meet you for a beer anytime !

I am leaving on June 6th for the national.  From what I can see of the long term, there is definite change in the weather next week and temps will start going up to norms and I am hoping for a high to build in after all these lows that have pushed through. The jet stream is due for a loop north ...

We are leaving Custer on Thurs morning and have no clear plans on a route back.

So glad to hear that!  These past few days, I feel like I could be back in North Van...

I'm gonna be heading west around the middle of June, then south--I'm hoping for good weather by then!

Just came in from mounting the Conti TrailAttacks. Deep tread, lovely profile to the tire. Very much a street tire with very deep tread ... but the rear was a bitch to mount. Busted a tip off my NoMar bar. And that takes some doing. Raining again so I will wait for dry roads to run them in. Good thing as I am pooped lol !  Would have been much easier if there was some sun and I could heated up the rear tire.

Beer Time !

Well, my exertion for the day was carrying a bulky and weight shifting 25kg package (Ohlins forks and clamps) 5 city blocks from the Post Office back to the studio, since they tried delivering them to the wrong address.   Adversity builds character, but sweat just builds bacterial breeding grounds.  Smile

sure,  the bike's insured and registered,  got new oil/filter.

Beautiful day,  and .....

My wife has my weekend planned out, shovelled 4 yrds of dirt,  3 to go tomorrow.  Dad's B'day today,  wife's family bbq tomorrow.

I'm sure it'll be raining when I get some free time.

On the other hand,  I did score some Thor MX pants for $30.00 today.

Yup! Same here. Brand new bike in the garage, first weekend without rain in a month it seems, two days off work in a row...

and I get to install soffit and pot lights on the front porch and dig holes for new trees and hook up the watering system for the garden and drag piles of gravel around for some reason or other...

 Sad

The sun came out at suppertime and cast beautiful shadows across the land and the first hummingbird of the year buzzed by just then...

I swear the bird winked at me and called me a twit!  Rolleyes

So today is PERFECT! High of about 18, light wind, a little mist along the shore...

And I spend the day resurrecting the lawnmowers and cutting grass and twigs and the odd rock  Crazy

Oh yeah... and cleaning out the chicken pen!

I might as well push it closer to the fire for all the use I'm getting so far!!

I'm hoping this shit gets straight before the 10th, when I head out for the National.

I couldn't agree with you more. I am scheduled to head out on the 10th too.

Just came in from an after work ride that lasted 15 mins.  Pouring out there.

Towards Trail ... It should be there about now.  Or is Krestova bought a dome ??  Twofinger

I don't mind rain (ahem being the Victorian that I am, and I mean cold rain) but this was hammering. And at 5:20 here it is a coming down.

Ride this way and tell me where it starts ?

Why does the weather jump from winter to Summer in a day .  It was cool and wet here and now hot and humid.

I came back from Lexington VA yesterday and one bank sign said 92 degrees ... Is that hot or what?

The gf wanted to know if I was trying to fry her.

Well, my neighbours built a greenhouse... Smile

It did spit here for a bit, after I'd posted earlier, but no heavy rain--and looking towards Castlegar now, it actually looks like it's clearing.  I've seen this phenomenon before, it'll be raining in C-gar but not here, or vice versa.  The weather often seems to pass to the north of us somehow...Krestova is a special kinda place, eh? Razz
