Unless you want to spend a lot of money on map modification do not try to fit a 'Loud' pipe. It simply won't work with the stock map. There are a variety of aftermarket pipes available, try and get one with a decent dB killer and prefferably a catalytic converter. If you remove too much resistance from the exhaust the bike will feel harsh, have a big flatspot in the midrange and will ackfire on the over-run like a 4th of July foreworks display.

Hi Dave, I have just fitted a Quill Evo 2 can to my Breva 1100, it comes with a removeable Db killer, no fuel map alteration is needed, it looks and sounds absolutely awesome, the way a V twin should.  The only thing not to like is the center stand stop is not present on the link pipe, but it does not cause much problem. The system is guaranteed for life and is not as expensive as the Agostini systems.  They ship worldwide.  I have no pictures or sound clips but there are plenty on you tube.

I ordered the Mistral stainless can for my 1200 Sport.

I put a Norge centerstand on the bike a year ago, so I asked for the rubber bumpstop tab...it'll be an extra bit of time.
As nice as the oem pipe sounds for a stocker - I think the engine really could benefit from some freer breathing.

The Mistral is very nicely made, though appearance-wise it's pretty much just another stainless oval canister. Quality piece, unremarkable looks.
With the db killer in, it's as quiet or quieter than stock....with it out, it's a very mellow sweet sounding pipe. Perfect sound level, not an obnoxious bark.

I would have preferred something with a cf skin and similar in size/shape to the 1200 Sport's stock exhaust, but after a few days the stainless doesn't look as out of place as I thought it would.

When I removed the stock can, btw, there were stress cracks in the "carbon fiber" (look) metal skin....so I'll be taking that down for a warranty replacement in case I want to return to stock some day.
