Looking for a better route for the north part of this trip which gets interesting enough when you get onto highway 24 from Sigurd to Torrey where you meet highway 12.  But am I missing out on an interesting way to get south to Sigurd (and back north to SLC)?

Sometimes I take highway 50 fast down through a sometimes pretty valley to Scipio where you can get on I-15 but that feels like giving up and impatience.

Sometimes I take highway 89 which is ok. Lots of speed traps.

I have also taken highway 28 between Gunnison and Levan. This is a smaller highway which you would think makes it more interesting, but it's known as the "Levan death strip" for the boring way it puts drivers to sleep.  Not looking forward to that again.

Only use highway 6 going to Moab or parts east and south, but it leads to highway 10 which I haven't seen. Highway 10 leads souths, crossed 50/70 and meets 24 at Loa.  Should I try out highway 10?

Highway 10 is straight, but scenic. Kinda roadrunner/coyote stuff.

You haven't ridden 72?  Crazy

There are a couple nice ways you can go, depending on how much time you have.

Lots of time:
head East to Kamas and take 35 (wolf creek pass) to Duchesne. If you haven't ridden this road yet, make the effort.

From duchesne, go down 191 (indian canyon) to Price. Have a burger at Grogg's. Head down 10/72 and you're there.

Bit shorter way:
Take 6 to 89, ride 31 over to huntington, down 10/72.

Different way. Ride to Payson, take the Nebo scenic loop, then 132 and which ever way you want to go.

29 looks good... I don't know if it's paved  Headscratch

Thanks 1K.
I will be taking those routes as soon as I can.

The Nebo loop is a great ride.  Faster on a motorbike than it is on my bicycle Smile
