Don't tell anyone--but sometimes, I think I ought to change out my BMW for another Breva with hard cases.

The seating position is just more comfortable and confidence-inspiring.

I just wish there was an ABS option...

I hadn't, actually--that has an ABS option?

G. & I just got back from a long weekend in Sooke and saw three Guzzis on I-5 just south of Everett:  a black Breva 750, a big Breva and red Norge.  The Norge and big Breva had two kids about age 8-10 on the back.  Think one might have been a girl--stared at me for quite a while as we rode by.

I test rode an '07 Norge just a few weeks ago and it did have ABS.

May I ask why you prefer the Breva 750 over the newer V7 Classic?

Actually, it's not an option - it just has it, along with the ability to turn it off if you wish.  Bigsmile

New Norge 8V Has the new motor with twin O2 sensors, new mapping, shimmed for endfloat cams to keep it quiet and civilized and ABS + Luggage. I haven't yet ridden one but by all accounts they are a very neat piece of kit if you're into a fast ST.

I didn't know they were available in red - had to google that!  Looks good!  But the best color for the V7 is Black.   Cool

I prefer the tubeless tires on the Breva 750, but that's the only benefit I see over the V7 Classics.   Of course there are more used Breva 750's available...

My bad, guess I was confusing it with the Griso and Calis that have the "O" ring seals on the spokes.

Got to see one in person a couple weeks ago at Brookside Motorcycle in Tulsa.  Little disappointed they didn't "make" me take a test ride like they did when they got the new Stelvio last year.   Bigsmile   It looks better in person than in pictures (IMHO).  The brown leather seat really came together with the green paint.  I did drool over it a bit, but had to get back to the business of buying the CBR600RR I went up there to get.  Too many cool bikes and too little money and garage space!   Crazy

Earlier and later Calis use tubes. Some of the up-spec versions from around the turn of the millenium to 2004 or so use the  Boehr (Sp?) radial pull spoked rims designed for tubeless tyres.

Stelvio and Griso SE use the rims with each spoke sealed by an o-ring.

The small block Breva 750, which I believe the OP has now, is a nice little bike but the big block Breva 1100 is a totally different machine.  Balance, power, and ride are totally different.  The big Breva is much better at eating highway miles at elevated speeds where the little Breva is a blast at lower speed two lane twisty roads and around town.  All IMHO of course!

OIC. I thought she was talking about two 750 Brevas.

I've been on a 750 Breva, several years ago. I thought it was pleasant.

So, are you considering another Breva 750, or a big Breva with cases?  When the talk went to ABS, cases, and then the Norge, I just though you were talking the 1100 with bags for touring.  Did the US get Breva 750s with ABS and is it even available on the V7?  I didn't see it in the spec section of the US Moto Guzzi site, so assuming ABS is not available on the small blocks.   Headscratch

Grant's is fun, and he doesn't like the BMW so trading for a ride isn't an option.  Dave at Moto International actually warned us this might happen if I rode it too much.  Lol

ABS is an asset around here as I am a 12-months-a-year commuter.   Headscratch

Again, OIC. Two Brevas for two people makes more sense than two Brevas for one person.

Also, if it lets you ride more and makes your back happier, kudos.

I, too, am a big fan of ABS. Maybe a letter to Moto Guzzi is in order?
