They must have changed it. I got the option on the order page to do a $100 deposit and they'll send the unit out first and refund the deposit upon receiving the old unit.

If your main unit takes a mini-USB connector for charging, you're up to date.   Bigok

Bingo!  I just placed an order for an updated unit with a $100 hold until my current main unit comes back to Sena.

The new units have a USB connection on the main unit itself.  The old units have a round hole.

Woohoo... that was sooo nice to see.   I placed my order to update out dual set this morning and now I don't have to worry about missed time without the headsets  Thumbsup

I talked with Sena.   This upgrade is to the firmware and makes the unit firmware upgradable for the future- replacing the unit will be unnecessary since you can upgrade the firmward through a PC.  There are two changes to the system:  first and probably most important is that now multiple (3+) units can all talk together at the same time.  No more connecting to only one other at once.  Now multiple riders can have one conversation.  Change two... I forgot, sorry cuz it didn't affect me.

I bought the powerlet charger cord with the first unit.  The current chargers for the old unit do not work with the new unit, hence the reason they bundle the chargers with the new unit.

I ride with only one guy so I don't have a need to change and personally this technology is changing so fast (webbikeworld has a review of a unit that is smaller than the Sena with no need for the microphone, it's built into the speakers) that I'm holding on the upgrade.
