We have the standard seat with a Triumph touring windshield. Mine, on the trip fully packed with the top box was around 50 mpg. However, all gas stations in Utah only have E10 gas. So it really didn't like that stuff. At home in CA we have done a couple of multi days fully packed and get around 56 mpg. Commuting to and from work (60 miles round trip) it get around 58 mpg, so yes its pretty close to the 60 mpg mark.

Not sure if this was mentioned earlier, and not sure if there's a difference between the ST and GT...but regarding MPG, I had to change my ODO from Imperial miles to US miles on my ST.

On my recent 2100 mile round trip from my house to Canada for the BBBBQ (the long way, via Lolo Pass.... Wink ) I averaged 58.2 mpg. Reduce that by 7% as a result of installing  the 18 tooth front sprocket and it's still over 53 mpg. One leg I had 236 miles on the odo before the low fuel warning light came on. Reduce that by 7% and we're still talking over 220 on a tank without hitting reserve.

This thing gets better gas mileage than my old 955 ST.

This isn't important enough to start a new topic about, but wondering if you guys my comment:

I see a couple of Sprint GT's on eBay for $9995 from a dealer in Florida with just a few hundred miles on them. What's the catch? This seems fishy.

Looks like they are demo bikes, and leftovers to boot.  One of them (the 2010) is even $8995.  Nice deals.

anyone over 6'2 spent any considerable time on one of these yet?  I would love to have one of these but my 6'4 frame probably isn't going to be too happy with the seat/peg relationship.

My inseam is 34 inches. I dropped the pegs on my GT about an inch and found it to be a big improvement.

Buell pegs?  Or some other form of peg lowering?

They are amazing deals. I'd take the blue one and take those stupid decals off it.

I had some Buell pegs with a 1 inch drop that I started to put on. It looked like too much work; would require a bushing for the mounting pin, quite a bit of shaping plus the pegs are kind of chunky and big. Ended up buying MFW Vario pegs from twistedthrottle. They're listed under 1050 Sprint ST but mount just fine. Shift and brake lever adjusted okay with the 30mm drop.
