What's up with Racing-Underground?

I need my Assen fix but Racing-Underground is offline.  What's up with that?

Can't complain too much coz its a "free site" as it were, but damn.  I'm not used to this.  I feel like I woke up with a missing limb.

I hope it's a brief outage; I don't want to have to give Dorna any money.

edit - found the Moto2 and 125 races on TPB, but gods only know from where the streams were recorded.  Hopefully Eurosport, but beggars can't be choosers.

edit again - it IS Eurosport.  Woot.

It's a shock to the system when RU is down.  I think I'm suffering from withdrawal  

Luckily my Tivo managed to record the MotoGP race - still strying to find the Moto2 race.

On another forum (I don't recall which one though) a poster said he received an email from big RU uploader that "the site would be down for a few weeks".  He felt that it is due to a server upgrade.  

We can always hope. YMMV

I really hope you're right....

But the pessimist in me is telling me something else may have happened.

I just have to wonder at the logic of changing out your servers in the middle of NASCAR/motogp/WSBK/Formula-1 season. Also bothers me that there was no advance warning of the downtime.

Sigh - still down.

But TPB is still up, and I've noticed the consistency of the uploads there has gone up in the years since I joined RU.  So, while no one seems to be taking the time to do the 2GB BBC HD broadcasts (which I never watched coz I hate the commentators), at least there's good-quality SD captures from Eurosport2.

The old site was an invite only sort of deal - I gave out all my invites.  Have you tried registering on the new site?  I just transferred my old account to this one so I'm not sure if this one is an invite only or not.

The new URL doesn't even work when typed in a browser. Maybe I need to restart my cable modem or something to get the DNS refreshed.
