The Iron Butt Rally is doing a 48-state route plan this time (with option of hitting AK and also doing the 4 corners) and the pack of riders were coming down to Jacksonville, FL for stopover #2.  It was like a plague being tracked with SPOTS decending on the southeast.  Several stopped in Asheville for a rest and I stalked one of them and left an encouragement note on their bike...  Smile

There's a thread in the Iron Butt forum and updates on the Iron Butt website.

I don't get the Iron Butt mentality??? Bigsmile

Never understood pressing yourself so hard to ride "x" amount of miles and the possibility of fatigue to set in and cost me my life.  But on the other hand, I see it as the old Swarzenegger movie "Running Man"!  Here for my entertainment! Bigok
