As the topic say's, looking for a second witness (or witnesses) for my BBG1500 on the weekend of the 8th and 9th of July. Will be leaving at 12:00 PM MST Saturday so need a witness around 11:30am - 12:00pm for the start. Will be leaving from the Valero station off c-470 at Broadway in Highlands Ranch

http://maps.google.com/maps/place?q=gas+station&hl=en&cid=1270750252038740000

Will also need a witness on Sunday for the return about 11:30am MST at the same location.

Anyone available who can help on those days? Thanks in advance if so!

P.S. - I know 12:00 PM seems like a strange time to start, but as I have insomnia and typically cannot get to sleep until 2:00am it's the only way I can get enough sleep to have a safe and successful ride.

Justin,

Hell, if you are starting at noon, I'll ride down and be a witness for you and ride with you for a couple hours if you want.  Don't worry about me, I'll turn around and head home when I want.(I know these rides are a solo mindset, don't even look in the rear view!)

See you there if that works for you.  I'll give you my cell # on Sat and you can give me a call on Sun morning early and let me know your schedule and I'll ride down and end witness for you also.

Have fun!

Josh, thanks man, that's a haul for you to come down here and do that - I appreciate it. And yeah, once I'm rollin' I'll be in "go mode" for the next 24 hours  Lol

Did you get the directions down here to my starting point from the link I posted? Should be easy to find since you have GPS  Smile

And I'll be heading back up 25 to Cheyenne for the start, so right back the way you came.

Heard from Justin about 1/2 hour ago, he's was at his last fuel stop in Glenwood Springs.  Going to head down and end witness for him shortly.  Job well done!   Thumbsup Thumbsup

Josh, thanks again for riding down TWICE to witness for me  Thumbsup

AND - Mission was a success! Some stats..

1551 Gps confirmed miles
5 states (CO, WY, UT, ID, NV)
9 fuel stops en route (no fuel cell)
67.8 MPH Average Speed
1.25 Million dead bugs
5 Rain Storms I missed by minutes (Yay!)
2 Hot blonds in car that wanted to race me in Twin Falls  Smile
0 Performance Awards
23 hours and 1 minute

That's the highlights, it was a pretty smooth ride, no major problems. Ran into a few small sections that reduced my average. No speeding, just hard saddle time. Idaho has a lot of bugs. Twin Falls is plagued by squid packs that ride up and down the main drag.
