Took one for a test ride today at the Kawasaki promo at the Mall O' America. Loved it, but found the throttle a little too touchy. But fun otherwise.

You get used to them. Ok,more like you learn to look past them. And IMO they do sound good when the engine is spun up.

Had a guy look at mine today and say 'I really like the exhaust' He was serious.  


Just ordered the Akrapovic slip ons for mine in titanium with CF end caps--takes the RWHP from 125 to 132 and drops 11 pounds.  Not supposed to be any difference in sound (with the removeable sound baffles installed).  Sorry, but the stock cans are just too ugly--not a big fan of that MotoGP look.

Here's another 'feature' of the stock cans. The fronts of mine are all beat up from my heals hitting them. I put aftermarket slip-ons on my winter mod list along with brake pads, brake lines, a better seat, etc.
