Not a clue, but if you decide to come to California I can show you roads with beauty enough to make you weep with joy.

Yes you should bring the bike. Look at a map and head northwest for about one hour and you will start to hit the mountains. Then simply pick any road that crosses a ridge and you'll be good.

Short answer is Yes. If you have the time to get out and ride there are some really nice roads to hit not too far out of the way.

I could not help but notice the Caddy in your avitar. Are you afiliated with Pratt & Miller?

Nothing near Salisbury in my opinion!  But if you bring your bike then head up 226 up through McDowell County into Avery toward Crossnore then into Grandfather Mtn. you will see some nice roads and scenery.  Then take the BRP toward Haywood County toward the Pisgah Inn/restaurant area.

But all that is about 2-2.5 hours from Salisbury.

Salisbury is flat land to me......just flat, nothing notable!

You should always have a bike on standby whenever possible.

I will be at Infinion raceway late august, then laguna seca after labor day. Don't know if I will be able to fit a bike in that load.

He's coming from Michigan, Michigan is like Kansas with trees and a big lake  Lol  If I lived in Michigan and were coming to NC, I'd bring a bike even if I could only ride for a few hours up in the mountains.

Oh, that is so funny! -and sadly so true. If I still lived in michigan I don't even think i'd own a street bike. Unless of course you're into the pirate parade scene...
