Just another ride on the Tick.

The day started with a Bullfrog rescue. This guy was about the size of my fist.
Then a quick run to the beach to pick up my 4wd permit. I didn't ask if they would issue a permit for the KLR.
The guy in the background is airing down.
I found what turned out to be a really long gravel driveway.
I took a nice ride along the head waters of the Carmans River.
One particular route I take crosses some train tracks. I always stop because I don't want to get run over by a train. Yes, it seems obvious but this is way east of anything busy, thus hardly any trains pass by. I will continue to stop at this crossing.

This stick tried to drag me off the bike.
This was a tight spot. The little pine tree is juuuuust big enough to not bend at all. I got my head wedged between the bike and the tree. The luggage case got caught by the larger tree. I was stuck between 2 smelly mud puddles. It was like, a hundred degrees out.
I was able to drag the bike back and take a second approach more to the right side. I was surprised there was so much water back there. We did get some thunderstorms the night before but it's been pretty dry.
This is a fun spot

When's the first ride report with the new knobbies?
As you saw, I just installed the knobbies last night. I've been dealing with a pinched nerve in my neck the 3 last weeks too, so I really can't tell you. Plus it's been over 90 here lately and i'm an old bastard.
