I ride a 2002 Hayabusa.  I'm trying to get some SWMotech EVO mounts and bags for it.  I already have the TraX 38L topcase, looking for the EVO sidecase mounts and TraX 37L sidecases.

I'm looking for a reputable vendor other than Twisted Throttle.  I have an email out to SWMotech, but haven't heard back from them yet.

Thanks!

Interesting first post.

Welcome?

My curiosity would be, why not TW?

I assume by TW you mean Twisted Throttle.  Poor service on 2 orders prevents me from sending them more of my hard earned coin.   I'm not looking to slam the company, just trying to buy some parts.

I searched the forums, but it seems like everyone buys their SWMotech shit there  Lol

Thanks for the welcome.

I beleive that TW is the main (if not only) SWMotech importer . . . . .

While I hvae heard of some that had trouble with em, most seem satisfied (though this doesn't fix the trouble the OP had, adimttedly).

No judgment here (yet  Wink) I was just curious as I have never had any thing but stellar customer service from them.

Where are you located? If you plan on sticking around after you get your desired info, people will want to get to know you and that's the place to start.

It can seem that they are the exclusive US distributor, but I don't think that is the case.

Also try http://www.adventuremotorcycleparts.com/ - while they may not show the Busa rack, they can likely order it.

Thanks for the leads - I'll check with Whitehorse and Adventure.

I updated my profile with my location.  Long time rider, love doing it all with my Busa.  Drag, twisties, touring.  Sick of soft luggage   Lol

I'm surprised to hear that. I've bought a bunch of stuff there and always had excellent service. Once I brought a bike there and they spent considerable time helping me choose the best-fitting windshield and even helped install it.

I've looked on fleabay for stuff like Givi bags, trying to score a bargain. There is another seller there, but his prices are always higher than at TT.

I've gotten decent service from Twisted Throttle.  The only issue I've had is them giving me a timeline for an item to get in stock and shipped to me and not meeting that timeline.  The part was at my house when I got back from my trip.  Missed it by that much!

Welcome from another Busa tourer  Thumbsup

Too bad about your experience with TW, I have had nothing but good service from them.

I just use the SW-Motech top rack on mine and love it. Holds plenty for me, and keeps the profile thin.

I can't help you with an alternative source, as I've always had good luck dealing with Twisted Throttle. Why not try them again - maybe the 3rd time will be the charm for you?  Smile

Yeah, I always thought TW was the exclusive US distributor for SW-Motech stuff. Shrug

They may not be the only retailer, though... I guess that's possible.

You appear to be correct.  I looked at the sw-motech.de site and they list Twisted Throttle as the official distributor for NA.

Before I posted this thread, I was searching the forums and found your ride.   Thumbsup  Nice to see another Busa tourer, there are a lot of us that roll together.  This was an meeting in NC... riders from GA, NC, FL, MI and MD.

I am currently just running the top case, but I'd like the side cases to go along with it.

As far as Twisted Throttle - I'm not interested in working that hard to give someone else my money.

Thanks for the alternative source suggestions, please keep them coming.

I have bought SW-Motech and Bags-Connections parts from I-90 Motorsports in Issaquah, WA (ask for Brent or Linclon in parts if you want to order from them) but they got the parts from TwistedThottle.  Twisted is the importer so you can buy from elsewhere but it still goes through them.  If it makes you feel better, their margin is lower when you buy from someone else.

Well, shit.  If SW-Motech.de is hanging their hat on Twisted Throttle as the sole source of parts for the US, guess I'll check out other manufacturer's parts.  Thanks, man!

Anyone want a new top case at a discount?  It will fit a full face helmet.   Bigok

Thank goodness others' countless experiences don't play into your decision making.  Thumbsup

Other than making a smartass comment to make yourself feel better, what is the point of your post?

If I have multiple bad experiences, should I continue to rely on others experience with a company?  How many times do you allow a company to provide poor service to you before you stop giving them your money?

It's probably because he has made several supportive suggestions as have many others. You have your mind set on not liking TT. You have your answer and now we play. We will probably eventually eat your liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

I thought I made that obvious from my first post.  Fuck, the title of the thread should have been a clue for the slow ones.

I have thanked those that provided useful suggestions and had already followed up on several of them.

I'm a bit irritated at the whole situation, so my attitude may soften on ordering from another vendor even if Twisted Throttle gets a little bit of cash out of the deal... but probably not   Lol
