Concours C14 purchase? Am I being Had?

An area Kawasaki dealer is quoting me a very good price on a 2011 Concours, but then he's adding about $1000 on for shipping and setup.  Is that normal in your area?  I'm moving over from Harley and they usually waive the "setup".  I don't know if it's a good deal or not.  Your opinion helps.

Is he quoting you msrp + 1,000    I would find another dealer.  If he is quoting you below msrp how much and is he just blowing smoke trying to make it look like a good deal.  I think the shipping and dealer prep around Savannah ga is in the $400 range

That's twice the price that I was charged on two bikes in 2 years!

In So Cal  we have purchased six bikes from three different dealers over the last few years and never paid any additional fees.  I did not pay one dime in fees for my ST1300. The OTD (total that includes bike, tax and license) was $2000 under MSRP. All other bikes were sold OTD for MSRP or slightly under.

You normally can buy for right around MSRP

If its a new...   several year old bike I would go off the Kelly Blue Book value...   not sure where else you could get the right number from.   This KBB number would be reasonable

One grand for setup!??!  That dealer is higher than a kite in a hurricane.  If it was $1000 for setup, and the second set of tires (your choice in rubber) or break-in service... Something!  Go to a different dealer, that is obscene.  What is the dealer proposed purchase price of the bike?  I would hope that it is so low that it justifies the dealer doing something so low.
