MotoGP Sachsenring **spoilers n stuff**

Looks like a fun start. Cold track conditions result in numerous getoffs, including Stoner, Rossi, Pedrobot, and Elias (twice!) in FP1, almost all of them in turn 11. Unknown if LCR will manage to piece together a bike for Elias to ride for FP2. This has reignited the questions regarding Bridgestone's fitness to be the spec tire provider for MotoGP.
Capirossi finished FP1 feeling unfit to continue, meaning Guintoli will be taking his ride for the weekend.
Top four are Simo, Stoner, Lorenzo and Hayden (who loves this track, go Nicky).

That's great news for LCR Honda! Up to now, Elias hasn't gone fast enough to fall.

Guniters is 1.5 seconds off the pace. Elias's pace, that is.
Yet the mofo is still smiling.

Riders are apparently in revolt over the tires chucking them off the bike. They had an emergency meeting today and finally forced Bridgestone to start offering a wider range of tire options to help solve the warm-up problems. Looks like they'll have two rears in Laguna Seca and three fronts starting at Brno.
There's another meeting between the riders, Dorna, and Bridgestone tomorrow.

Germany was once of the races they say they'd planned on using the supersoft option already (previous to the rider's revolt), but apparently they're going to have to do a little more work than that.

Spec tire rule blows . The idea that one size fits all in MotoGP is fundamentally retarded if we consider it is a prototype racing class . There are different riding styles , different engine configurations , etc .
Hopefully world`s economy will improve soon and they get away with that unfortunately necessary evil .

Tomek is right. There should be no rules beyond two wheels, engine size limit, and normal aspiration. It isn't like anyone's "secret sauce" stays secret for long.

The Italian bike, Italian rider dream scheme seems to have fallen on hard times.
Stacey Moaner must be secretly rubbing his hands in glee about now.

Different ability to get heat into the tires... I gotta wonder how well Suzuki would be doing if they could have a tire designed for their bike, as opposed to trying to tweak a design that's not compatible with the spec tire.

I think we'll get an idea about that when the new options become available. The zuke looked pretty good today, though.
Good racing, pretty much all the way back.

Arrgh, I spoilered myself!
Went to the SPEED website to check the schedule, I even entered the /schedule URL suffix, but since I was on my IPhone, it automatically kicked me to the mobile site with the screaming headline: XXXX XXXXXXX wins the German Grand Prix

I loved the move Spies put on Simoncelli on the last lap. Then looked back at him while crossing the finish line.
