Since going off roading with my Bandit almost exactly 2 years ago (July 11th '09) I finally got around to finishing all the repairs including a beautiful blue paint job. Since I (at the time), had another bike to fill the void left by the Bandit while she was in the hospital, I wasn't in a real hurry. Still more I want to do when $ allows, but for now I'm re-acquainting myself with her.

Vortex sprocket. Aluminum, and not long for this world, given the Bandit's power output and heft.

And very nice work. Bike looks beautiful. I too would like to see the before pictures.

I sanded and highly polished the stock chain guard, all the other shiny parts are chromed.

Nice job.

I like the chromed pieces. Adds that custom look with out over doing it.

I assume the "before pictures" that some requested to see are those from the Bandit's dirt bike experience. I know I have those, hope to have them posted real soon. They aren't horrible, but not good either  Sad
Here's a list of changes/upgrades I made.........

1) Holeshot Corbin seat
2) Vortex alum. rear sprocket. Up 2 teeth
3) Clear Alternatives tail light
4) Honda 919 handlebars
5) Pro-Grip gel grips
6) Vista-Cruise throttle lock
7) polished stock chain guard
8) Suzuki accessory "double Bubble" style windshield
9) carbon fiber gas cap cover

Even though it was tough looking at these again, here are the before shots, as per your requests. I successfully repaired the fairing and gas tank.

Thanks.  Actually they don't look that bad.  Just a little slide in the ditch?  And you didn't even lose those signals.  I've torn them off my Strom so many times that I put in flush LED ones.  Don't work worth a crap but at least they won't break.

That blue is a really nice color for the Bandit. Bigok

How do you like the Honda 919 bars?  Just going from the picture they look pretty close to the stock bars.

My former standard bike was a 2004 919. Those stock Honda bars fit me very well. The stock Bandit bars were a bit wider and were more pulled back resulting in a weird bend of the wrists. The blue is a GM color from (I believe) 2006 and called"Wave Blue". Base coat clear coat with custom original font style decals for the fairing. Paint was wet sanded with 1500 grit paper and highly polshed. Hope to do a full stage 2 Holeshot Performance upgrade, paint the wheels silver, and remove the fuel injection's "flies" all next year. She's a keeper!
