Unless the folks in charge of snow and ice removal figure out how to properly plow the roads around here and not leave big chunks and patches of ice in the middle of the road or in turns I'm not going anywhere. Bash  Angry3

I'm surrounded by at least a 20 mile radius of ice and salt that hasn't even melted aforementioned ice because it's too goddamn freakin cold out there! Crazy

I don't care about the cold, but I've got a block of ice-covered street to traverse before I get to clear pavement. Sad

I'll have to agree with Yoshi on this one.  I can't get my bike out for some time to come.  Maybe the warm up that Ed speaks of will help clear the driveway and street.  I hear that FJRs don't do well on ice. EEK!

I plan to get all the steeds in the stable out for a short 10-20 mile oil-spinning run. Then, top off the gas tanks on the way home.

It's supposed to be 39 and sunny Saturday, so my riding buddy and I are riding to a BMW motorcycle dealer's open house, it's just shy of 100 miles one way(all back roads)....

Even if it is going to be warm on saturday, you might want to try and scout the back roads before you ride them. Shady spots and corners could still be bad, and tomorrow is gonna be cold. We need a few warm days in a row to really clear off the roads.

I live in the south-eastern part of the state and all we've seen for snow was a light dusting 4 days ago, and it's been in the mid 30's everyday since, no ice or salt on our roads yet...

Where is this BMW dealer?
The dealer is located in Canton, MI, on Ford Rd., just west of I-275.
They supposedly have all the new 2007 models on their showroom floor.
It'll be interesting to see what they have, if anything we'll get some free grub out of it!

If I could make it to Ramsey, that street is clear. Unfortunately the road from my driveway to Ramsey is ice-and-snow-covered.

I may just pick it up tomorrow, so I'll get some pics then. And believe me I'll post them.

Nice color! Thumbsup Thumbsup   Yeah, I know you'll proudly post up some pics.  I know I would!  Congrats, Joel!

Don't underestimate the Canadians. They can muster up a fleet of Zambonii at a moments notice, then blitz their way through the invading hoardes...and leave a smooth, glassy surface in their wake.

Dave,
Should you decide (I know you will!), and want to ride up together, give me a call.  Assuming the roads between my house and the main roads are clear, I could be convinced to meet for breakfast.

I heard of a decent little place on RT12 just north of the boarder.  Anyone elase game?
