Friend & I are heading to Newfoundland in September to do a bit of riding.  We're electing to trailer our bikes from Maryland to Nova Scotia, then ride to the ferry at North Sydney.

I'd appreciate any recommendations for places in the Halifax area (where we'll be staying overnight on both our "to" and "from" legs) to leave our SUV & Kendon stand-up trailer for about 10 days.  Smile

You'll probably have good luck checking on ridetherock.com. They're a very friendly and outgoing group based in NS  Thumbsup

If you're really set on staying in Halifax... go here...

https://www.novascotia.com/en/home/planyourtrip/travel_guides/default.aspx

Pretty comprehensive suggestions there... If you want to get a little closer to the ferry before you unload though, you're welcome to drop off the trailer and stuff here. I live about an hour from North Sydney. Unlimited parking. Free camping.
Welll... There ARE limits, I guess...  Rolleyes

September is the best riding weather here, and one of the big events may be unfurling while you are in the area. Might be interesting to ride along...

P.M. if I can help!

Appreciate the links and the offer.   I think Halifax is where we'll leave the cage & trailer since it's close to the airport, just in case any kind of dustoff becomes necessary (BTDT).   Also want my friend to have a little day ride before we catch the ferry over to NF since she's never been to NS.

Also want to hit the Split Crow again - my T shirt's just about worn out.  Wink

Sounds like a plan! Stop by if things don't work out though...

Highway 4 has been extensively rebuilt and is the primary road in to Sydney these days. It's a good route. If you want an alternate though, the roads on the other side of the lakes are a lot of fun and not as busy.
Huh! What am I saying?  Rolleyes There are NO busy roads here!! Lol
