WV Ride 7/26/2011

4 day, 3 night trip. ~1800 miles

Day 1 - Not so exciting ride to get out of Chicago. Pass through Indianapolis, enroute to Columbus OH. Spend the night at a hotel - ~450 miles

Day 2 - The fun begins. Take all sorts of curvy back roads to Winchester, VA, night at another hotel ~370 miles

Day 3 - More of the same. Head back west and somewhat south through more WV backroads. ~350 miles End up in Ashland, KY

Day 4 - Take what remains of the scenic route back to indianapolis, then head back home. ~580 miles

Bring your rain gear, and make sure you and the bike are in good shape. The route is a bit tamed down from my usual SE rides. More state and US highways and less county roads. Departure is planned early Tuesday morning in order to beat the am traffic rush. I'm keeping an eye on the weather and may push things back a day or 2 if so warranted.
