Dellorto carb questions

The /5 I inherited from my Dad a couple of years ago has a pair of Dellortos on it. Model PHF36A. He put them on when we were racing AHRMA years ago. I've dealt with Bings and Mikunis before but not Dellortos. The bike sat for a good 2 years while my Dad's health was failing and although I've had it for about a year and a half, I haven't had the time or funds to mess with it much. It runs like crap and I know the carbs need a good overhaul. I just had the Works shocks rebuilt and I just finished rebuilding the forks and replacing wheel bearings today. Now it's time to get this warhorse running right again. What are some things I should be looking out for specific to Dellortos? Where's the best place to get parts and/or rebuild kits? I've been on the Dellorto.com website but they're in the UK and I hate paying VAT. Is there no one here on this side of the pond that deals in Dellortos?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Forget about the VAT - I've bought lots of stuff from the UK ( I'm in Australia ) and if you're from outside the UK you don't pay VAT.
