Last time we compared KTM's results to EBR's in both their AMA Super Bike debuts.  The comparison now continues with the first round of racing at Laguna Seca.

American SuperBike Laguna Seca Friday Practice Results from Motorcycle USA:

1. Josh Hayes (Yamaha) 1’25.362
2. Blake Young (Suzuki) 1’25.632
3. Tommy Hayden (Suzuki) 1’26.067
4. Martin Cardenas (Suzuki) 1’26.392
5. Roger Hayden (Suzuki) 1’26.524
6. Larry Pegram (BMW) 1’26.575
7. Jake Holden (BMW) 1’26.706
8. Geoff May (Buell) 1’26.963

That's a top ten finish for both newbies in practice, with EBR less than a second ahead of KTM.  I'll post results for Race 1 here as soon as I find them.

Geoff was 6th fastest in practice this morning (Sunday) less than a second behind the fastest bike.  I think they're figuring the new bike out quickly.

That's another top ten finish for Buell.  I was hoping for a better showing, but this is only their third race.  Hopefully they'll continue to improve as the season progresses.
