Never seen an HOnda DN-01. until today. Made a noise like a washing machine but with a bit more forward movement.

What a weird machine.

You mean you actually saw one of these on the road? I have seen them before in dealers' showrooms, although they typically have so much dust on them they are hard to identify.

Yup, I did. At first, in the distance, I thought Nightglide, but no, it was a A DN01!

Local Honda dealer has one sitting in the showroom.  With its bulbous snout, tiller-esque handlebars, and floorboards, it kinda reminds me of a duckbilled platypus.

If he was wearing a flip-up lid, day-glo 'stich jacket, shorts and Nike trainers then it's the same guy I saw in Shasta County, CA.

Local dealer sold one for under 9k. Haven't seen it anywhere though. Probably has it still in the package so it can be sold for maximum collectors value.

And here I thought the Rune was the low point of Honda's recent design blunders

And I'm a long-time Honda owner, but no more. They don't sell a thing I find interesting or attractive.

I've always wondered. Did Honda built the DN-01 completely out of parts they had left over? I mean things they designed that were just too horrible to use in their intended place? So this was a way to get rid of them?
