I've got a could/three pieces of Vanson gear -- high quality stuff, of that there can be no doubt -- some of the best I own.

I've, in the past, bemoaned the decline of their after sales service -- if memory serves, it's one of the reasons the company was founded . . . . .

Recently, my Vanson perforated summer gloves wrist snap broke -- the gloves owe me not a thing, I bought em about 15 years ago,, and I'm sure the cavalier manner in which I treated the snap didn't add anything to their lives . . . .

I went to cobblers, I went to leather repair joints, I even went to Kelly's World Famous Leathers, Good Stuff at Fair Prices (Trademark, close cover before striking), and no one knew where I could find a replacement.

The nice lady at Kelly's said, "have you called Vanson? I know it's a long shot, but . . . . "

I hadn't -- but did.

I never got past the receptionist -- she said she'd mail me a couple -- a week later, they showed up.

I'm not Pollyanna, but it would be aces if this indicated some kinda turn around for Vanson's service rep.

;-}
