Well, it's August. I bought my scooter in April.
....and I've had it out for a ride exactly
once
.
So I got to thinking...maybe I'm not cut out for the scooter world either.
So I sold it today, and this weekend I go to pick up this...
Maybe the roundel will be the ticket. I know one thing - I'll have a lot of fun with it finding out!!

it's a FIRE bike -- the color is a tip off -- it can always park next to hydrants!

Thanks!!
The pic was provided by the previous owner, so I can't take blame/credit/responsibility for where it's parked.
It's funny though...I posted this in the two main forums I frequent, and both forums immediately had a snarky remark about it being next to a hydrant....in an empty parking lot......next to an empty business....for a quick, staged photo.
These same forums are loaded with members who readily, often gleefully, admit to running at triple digit speeds on their bikes.
I can't help but find the juxtaposition more than a little ironic.

I thought about that. But I figured I needed to replace the penguins on a scooter, and I didn't have enough time to look for a picture of a final drive in flames.
I'll probably find something else tonight. Not sure I want to be mistaken for County.

When UFO bought his FJR, he posted a pic parked next to a dumpster, IIRC. You have a long way to go to top that one.
Congratulations on the new-to-you purchase.

What if I take a pic of it parked next to County? Memphis is a long ride, but it might be worth it.

That's a cool scoot, but I find they are more fun if they are smaller.

Sweet-looking bike.
While Guzzi people are old and fun-loving, Beemer types are often old and crabby.
Go park it on somebody's lawn if you really want to set them off...or a cornfield or field of wheat. IIRC there was a pic of somebody's Beemer in a field of wheat that appeared in BMWOA mag and the tsk-tsking began almost immediately.

I really liked my F650. I sold it back to the guy I bought it from. He called me up and asked if I'd sell it back to him. That was 2.5 years and 25K miles later.
Super easy to work on too. (Watch out for water pump leakage).

That looks like the perfect bike to go explore some dirt roads, and have fun the way there & back too.
Now go get her dirty, and report back with pics!

Already thinking about where to go, especially now that I can explore goat trails, gravel roads and dirt/forest roads in my own backyard, that haven't really been accessible to me before.

It's funny, the guy I bought it from had it several years ago, sold it to a buddy, regretted it, and bought it back from him a year later. People do seem to be attached to these bikes. After the ride home, I definitely got a bit of an idea as to why.
