Hi I'm Ryan and I live in region 3.

I was in Willow Creek, CA with my son visiting my parents. I'm a sport rider at heart but there is no such thing as a bad motorcycle in my opinion.

Just so happens there is a MINT Honda Valkyrie under a sheet in the old mans garage. He slept in, I stole his bike Wink

Heard rumor of a mature Grey whale under the HWY101 bridge at Klamath, CA......yeah no shit a whale in a trout and salmon stream.

Rode 2 hours at dawn and got within 3 miles of said destination and got popped by CHP. Now I'm not complaining, I have proudly earned every dime of that citation over the years on sport bikes. This is my first ticket in over 20 years!!!

Oh the irony: First real ride on a cruiser and I get a speeding ticket

Now if you live anywhere remotely close to Klamath, CA you must see this whale. It's right under the bridge, been there for weeks. Still swimming in circles. It is sad and amazing. I hope someone can coax it out of the creek.

Google "Klamath speed trap", it's famous.  I have a waypoint for the speed trap programed into my GPS so I don't forget when I'm driving through on the way to or from a WCRM.

Cool whale story.

I drove the truck over that bridge last week, now I know why all of the people were looking at. Don't think I would have guessed a whale

The whale had a calf with it until the youngster found itself a way back out to sea. It's considered too young to make it on its own and the mother, if she doesn't find the way, is also doomed. Just hope they don't beach themselves in final death agony. A dead whale on a beach stinks like nothing else.

Frankly, I'd hate to see anything that manages to smell the same as that.  Lol

Good to see the calf made it back to sea.

Crowds of people ran across the roadway, oblivious to speeding traffic, to watch the whales swimming underneath. Some serenaded them with violins and flutes. One person jumped out of a kayak to swim with them.
