Don't get to bring it home until Saturday, but it felt really good on the test ride… same comfy seating ergos as the Tiger (I just sold); about the same HP;  the throttle doesn’t have the Tiger’s punch, but it still moves out pretty good; it’s a bit lighter weight; more nimble feel, with a lower center of gravity; it turns into corners a quicker….

I bet you'll find it more stable in corners with bumpy pavement.

Which Tiger did you have. I was thinking my next bike would be a Tiger 1050.... I love my Sprint 955i but honestly in Boston it's not necessarily the "best" choice.... but the newer Tiger does have a much better suspension than my '02.  So hence my predicament:

I even like the Guzzi Breva...... (1100)
BTW I rode a '77 R100S for a year on loan/repair from a friend of mine. A thoroughly fun bike in the dry, not so much in the wet with those skinny assed old school hoops and all that right now torque, best keep her pointed straight up and very judicious use of throttle....

Very cool.  I like what they've done with the 1200.  Now that I have a commute there are times I miss the R1150R.

I had a '06 955i Tiger.... the '05-'06 had somewhat different suspension than the '01-'04... the 1050 has a better street setup than the 955... one of the new 800 would make a great commuter; I haven't heard any negatives about them.....

Yeah, the Beemer has a good low end torque; roll-on acceleration is a little more sedate than the Tiger, but it still moves out OK. Most of the Tiger's grunt was @ mid & upper RPM and it was great for passing on the highway.

The R1200 should do OK in the wet; it has ABS and an almost new set of Pilot Road 3.

Good luck with deciding on your next bike....  Headscratch

P.S. can't give up that triple sound... I'm keeping my '04 TBS Inlove
