I assume the C14 uses premium but what type of mileage are you getting?

I'm getting low to mid 40's during the summer unless you really get on it.

It drops to the high 30's / very low 40's in winter when the bigger screen goes back on.

Fuelly shows mid-30s to low 40s as average.  So, if you short shift and ride it easy, you can probably get the mileage that Cablebandit mentions.  If you do spirited riding, figure 30s.

I run mid grade fuel in mine and it seems to run fine. Mid to lower 30's is you ride the "pace" low 40's if you baby it.

I live at 7200ft and my riding range is from 5000ft to 12,000ft. elevation. I run 85-87 octane and so far, lifetime average with my 08' C-14 is 44.3 mpg. I ride the pace pretty much and run speed limit +5 or so on the highway.

Has anybody here run in Eco mode? On the twisties I have seen as low as the high 30s on my FJR  but on the slab at +10 50 mpg.

I used ECO mode all the time before pulling the flies and installing a power commander.  I'd say it was good for about a 10% bump in mileage.  The nice thing about it is when you get on it the bike automatically switches back to the fatter map once the throttle gets past 30% open.

That said, I ride with guys that have had dyno tunes done and get better mileage with a modified bike than the stock bike.  It's VERY rich from the factory.

After 10,000 miles the milage improves.  I get about 42 riding it the way I like.  The front tire off the ground alot.  This is with the powercommander, flies pulled, pipe, and bmc air filter with the performance map.  If I go on trips, I load my eco map and I can pull 47 mpg.
