WA to CA, Aug 8 and 9

We're going from Clinton (Whidbey Island), WA to Orleans, CA, August 8 and 9.  US2 > US97 > OR66 > I5 > CA96.  Wave if you see us (two Triumph Sprints, Red and Blue, watch for doll head), or ride with us a bit!

Orleans! Interesting detination. Wife lived there for a while growing up and family has roots there going back generations (CA Indian). She has great memories of the area. We were there in June visiting for old time sake. None of her relative live there anymore. Aunt left a couple of years ago due to aging. Have a great trip!

US-97 all the way through Oregon? Don't you guys have time for the West Cascades Scenic Byway from Government Camp to Oakridge?

Basically, do 97 south to 14 west then 197 south to The Dalles. West over Rowena Crest to Mosier, 84 to Hood River, 35 to Government Camp, 26 south to Skyline, 42 and 46 to Detroit Lake, 22 south, 20 west, 126 southwest to Rainbow, NF-19 to Oakridge, 58 southeast to 97 south.

Orleans has "Bigfoot Highway" road signs on CA-96. Photo op!
