I erroneously and purchased a set of Gaerne Balance Oiled for dirt-work, but they just weren't protective or supportive enough. I might have gone to the "opposite extreme" but after careful consideration of specs, I went with the Sidi Crossfire TA boots. I just received them, and they are exactly what I was looking for. Super comfy from the minute I put them on, too. I'm very happy with these boots, and I believe they'll be great on the WRR for both short and long distance dirt trips.
