Does anyone have the Sargent seat, and how is it?
I have the Suzuki gel seat, and while an improvement over stock it still doesn't cut it.

Ive been thinking about the Sargent seat also. I'm very gun shy when it comes to buying aftermarket seats. Over the years Ive bought them for 3 of my bikes (none from Sargent) and was disappointed in them all and at about $400.-$500. it really sucks not to be happy with a purchase. I'm still using the stock seat but for long rides I wear cycling shorts and it really makes a big difference...

I have a regular height ( higher than stock seat ) Sargent seat and find the comfort factor excellent. On a long stint in the saddle I never feel the slightest complaint from my butt - actually never even give it a thought - but the old creaky knees are a different story.
One nice thing about the fit of the Sargent is that the front has a soft lining where it meets the tank and mine actually has a very slight gap at the tank so there is no rubbing of the paint.
I also had the Suzuki gel seat but although better shaped than the stock seat it is just too hard.

Rode to Clay's cook out and back in June. 2000+ miles on the Sargent with a home made bead rider. 0 complaints.
Edit for,
$365.00 at Derby Cycle dot com. (I think)

I'm currently on my 2nd custom seat. The first was on the bike when I bought it at the dealership( bought my '08 in Oct of '08 with almost 4K miles on it. The original owner had a Corbin Gunfighter & Lady style seat (stupid name!). Luckilly, with the extended trips I heard he took, it was nicely "broken in" and was one of the most comfortable Corbins I've experienced. I then decided to upgrade to a new & improved Holeshot Corbin to appease my wife's needs. It's not fully broken in yet and after about 100 miles I'm ready for an hour break. I'm confident it'll be just as comfortable as the last one with another 1000 miles on it. Well made and good looking, ya just gotta hang in there until it's fully "seated" (pun intended

I have the Sargent low seat, will never buy Corbin again. The Sargent is without a doubt the best seat I have ever owned, comfortable, the wife likes it and for some reason she no longer slides in to me when stopping. I had a Corbin (not the Holeshot version which seems to get rave reviews) and while better than stock it just doesn't compare to the Sargent. The customer service at Sargent is fantastic, Corbin's, non-existent.
If you order direct and don;t like the Sargent you can send it back for a refund. Imagine that!

I've owned more than a couple seats that were re-done by Sargents, and was very pleased by them all. Never had an entire seat from them though.
I too must sell my over half broken in (or would that be over half seated in?
Holeshot Corbin to pay some bills. Contact me with a p.m.

Got my Sargent seat about three weeks ago. Ive put about 900 miles on it so far and wish I had done it sooner.. The first and longest ride in a day was a little over 400 miles, huge improvement...money well spent.
