Come join us in September for the Autumnal Equinox rally. Autumnal Equinox 2011 will be a 30hr rally this fall, including a mandatory rest stop. Riders who stay within the confines of OK will be eligible to apply for an OK-SS1000 if they complete 1,000+ miles in under 24 hours. The fall equinox occurs on Friday September 23rd. So, riders can also start, or ride one of, their Four Seasons SS1000.

Rally details:
Friday September 16th - Rally pack e-mailed to registered riders.
Friday September 23rd, 1800 - Pre-rally cookout at the RM's home.
Saturday September 24th, 0900 - Rally begins from Broken Arrow OK.
Sunday September 25th, 1500 - Rally ends in Broken Arrow OK.
Sunday September 25th, 1500-1800 - Scoring & commiserating .
Sunday September 25th, approximately 1900 - Awards banquet.

The entire selection of bonus locations will be within OK.

Oklahoma is cut into four quarters by two interstates; I-35 & I-40. Each quadrant will have approximately twelve bonus locations.

Riders will not be allowed to collect two bonus locations consecutively from within the same quadrant. So, routing will become paramount to find the right combination of bonus riding distance between each of the four quadrants.

I can guarantee you that having to abide by the quadrants restriction will make for some fun, and probably anguish filled, routing scenarios.

There will not be a mandatory checkpoint. There may, once again, be some high points/time restricted options to work with/around.

There will be a mandatory five hour (subject to change up/down one hour) rest bonus. Rider safety is paramount, skipping the rest bonus will result in a DNF.

One-up riders will be $110
Pillions are an add'l $60

Both riders and pillions will have pre- and post- meals, rally swag, and a personalized rally towel (one towel per team). Unique to The Rally is that rally flags will be the permanent number assigned to a rider at their very first event.

The Rally will once again support Hoagy's Heroes. Net proceeds from the event will be presented to Hoagy.

Looks like fun, but it's a week before the loe rally. Not sure I'm up to two in row Sad. Perhaps you could change when the equinox happens?  Lol

Hi Justin,

I know, the rally dates are tight throughout the year. Two weeks before my rally, I'm hosting an MTF regional SS1000. The following week is Bo Griffin's annual hamburger meet in Sulphur OK. The week after LOE is the VOID.

Just consider the LOE a warm-up, or more more likely freeze-up, before my event. I won't have snow-covered passes!

Maybe next year will do this one instead of the LOE - mix it up a bit. If my wallet was as tough as my butt I'd do both, but alas.

I have a spring rally, Vernal Equinox, and a fall rally, Autumnal Equinox, each year. So you can choose from one, or both. I've also held a mini-rally & RTE the Saturday after Thanksgiving for a couple of years. The end point is Pops 66 on Route 66.

Looking forward to seeing you at one of the events in the future. Good luck with the LOE!

I am making a note for the spring Smile No conflicts there. And to be honest, I have not ridden much of OK, just passing through the corner. Sounds like a fun time.
