Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

I have a Garmin Nuvi 1490t and a blackberry phone.  The devises link via bluetooth and both say they are linked.  But, I cannot hear the directions from the gps through the phone.  Likely I'm doing, or not doing, something silly.  Please share your directions/advice.

I dont tbink they work like that. If im not mistaken, the BT allows you to talk "into" the gps and hear the other caller through the gps speaker. If that gps is made specifically for mc's then you can pair it with say a Sena BT intercom and then you can hear the gps through the intercom. I use a Sena setup and pair it with my droid. I can make/receive calls, stream music, and talk to two other Sena units if paired. And I can hear my droids gps through the intercom.

Sigh... just went through this with a 2460.  Long story short, your GPS is, in effect, a headset.  Trying to hear your phone with a second BT headset isn't going to work.  Your choices are Zumo 220, 550, 660, 665 or TomTom Rider.  Trust me, I'm not thrilled with this development because I generally liked the 2460 in the car.  Oh, yeah, its voice recognition, compared to my HTC Incredible 2, sucks.  But the HTC's GPS function (through Google Maps / Navigation) isn't a lot of fun to live with.

You are just jealous because the FJR is a better ST than your XX/Sprint/VFR.
