Just recalled to post this here from the COG web site ( getting to old to remember quicker )

Did not have a chance to test the items I got down to 18*, so keep this in mind ( that is my bottom riding temp so far ), an I only tried 3 of them so far.

The items I got :
Antifreeze Long Johns
Antifreeze Zipper Casual Jacket
Antifreeze Body Shield
Antifreeze Inner Gloves

Riding Conditions : Trip out:30* Trip back: 27*F about 90 min total. ( test date 2-MAR-07 )
The items I have tested so far:
Antifreeze Long Johns
Antifreeze Body Shield

1. The Long Johns work better then the Underarmor Cold gear long johns that I have been using for 3years. No compare, don't understand this myself, but the material makeup is nicer, and they fit a bit better.
Normal jeans over these, with Darien light over pants.

2. The Body Shield works much better then a normal fleece neck gator, or a dickie. The material really does what it claims to do, kept my chin and neck nice and warm ( without anything else covering it ) and the length does a nice job of covering the front and back, from the neck down onto the chest / back.
I wore this with a Aerostich wind blocker shirt under my JR Meteor 4.0 jacket, no Gerbing heated liner with this. Under this combo I wore a T-Shirt.

Normally these ride conditions cause my neck to get cold ( gator / dickie wind penetration / gaps ) in under 1 hr ( without gerbing gear on ) Don't know if I will get the same conditions to test with.

Riding Conditions : Trip out:~41* Trip back: ~ 35*F about 110 min total. ( night of 4-APR-07 )
Antifreeze Zipper Casual Jacket

Nice option to the use of the Aerostich wind blocker shirt + Antifreeze Body Shield

Worn under FirstGear Kenyon jacket ( Waist length Kilimanjaro type jacket ) without jacket liner.  Short sleeve T-Shirt under the Antifreeze clothing.  Normal Jeans, no need for long johns, Aerostich Darien light pants over jeans.

The Zipper Casual Jacket fits a bit better then a bicycle Gore-tex jersey ( not skin tight ) and the neck part has a nice close fit to it, without a lot of bulk like a neck gator.  Same material up the neck as the Body shield.  Not as high of coverage as the Body shield.

In these temps, without a liner, the Zipper Casual Jacket did a nice job of keeping me very comfortable without over heating me.

[EDIT : add in some additional usage info ]
2.5 hrs riding time  Temp out 30*F Temp In Actual Temp 26*F wind chill temp : 14*F
Long johns under normal jeans with Aerostich Darien light pants
Casual Zipper jack over Short sleeve T-Shirt add Body Shield, over tis Firstgear jacket with standard quilted liner.
Might be a case of my hands were in worse shape then my body, but the long johns worked better then the Underarmor Cold gear ones. Longer time out,  and I would have used my Aerostich regular Darien pants.
My body was warm the entire trip with only the T-Shirt and Casual jacket + body shield to cover more of my neck and my chin.  I did not realize that the temp had dropped 4*F and the wind chill temp drove it down to 14*F by the end of the ride.Worked very well !  Nice gear

Sorry for the delay in the posting here, hope this will help those more North of Chicago for this year, and for everyone next year.
