I returned the Nuvi 2460 (the BT interface is useless on a bike - no support for a headset as the the 2460 is the headset for a BT phone) and pulled the trigger on a Zumo 660.  The damn thing says "Recalculating" every time I change my mind and there's no way I can find to alternate between shortest and fastest routing easy.  Feh!  But maybe I'm missing something somewhere.  Anybody got any nifty "easter eggs" for the 660?  Also, does anyone know if it'll accept a 32Gb microSD?

There's no quick on-the-fly toggle.  Best place for info is the Zumo forums.  You'll need to register.

You can go into tools and setup and turn off recalc, you go into navigation and you can change from fastest to shortest calculations.  I found out by pressing the different buttons is how I learned all the things it can do.

Actually, what I had in mind was not hearing "recalculating".  It turns out there is hope:

I found the fast/short buttons in navigation - I was hoping for something like the 2610's prompt mode, where you can easily change from fast to short on the fly instead of drilling down in the menus.  It turns out that there is at least a choice when navigating to a favorite.  Until I get the 660 back out on the road, I won't know whether I get the choice during a trip to a favorite [destination].

There's no choice between faster and shorter on the fly.  Going to a Favorite and waiting for 5-10 seconds before choosing GO gives an option for changing between shorter and faster, but it's not pretty.  And it applies only to the start of the route.  If you choose faster at the start, any route changes will be faster, too.  The only way to change things is to create a new route with the same Favorite.  Not pretty but it works.

I recommend a tool called TTSVoiceEditor for modifying what the voices say.  Read the instructions, back up your VPM files before playing with them, and have fun!

There's no choice between faster and shorter on the fly.  !

I may not be understanding what you are saying, but yesterday on a 400 mile trip from Dublin VA to "Home" I changed from faster to shorter a dozen time trying to get the 660 to go the way I wanted.  I just hit menu, tools, setup, navigation and if the button says faster, press it and it give me 3 choices, faster, shorter or off road.

I was able to drill down into the map, make a mark on the road I wanted to get to, then add as a via point and switch between faster and shorter to see which way it wanted to take me.

Sure that works, Jerry, but it's a lot of drilling (and eyes off the road).  With the 2610, it's one look, one push, and shazam!  Garmin just flat fell down on this one.

That is true, I went from the 276c to the 660 and sometimes wish I hadn't

 Lol A not uncommon lament!

I just finished loading up and editing a bunch of Favorites (I really, really dislike that term - call 'em waypoints, fer pete's sake!).  I can think of a few simple changes that would be a big help - and they were all in the 2610.
