As I understand it, Bridgepoint (shareholder in Dorna among other things) bought Infront (owner of WSBK and many other sports properties).
WSBK isn't the biggest part of the Infront purchase and Dorna doesn't pull all the strings at Bridgepoint. There will be all kinds of speculation about killing off WSBK or merging the two series but I'm not sure anything is going to change as long as both formulae are profitable. And both series need stability to succeed so I don't think there is any benefit to screwing up the status quo. If the Flaminis start looking for work or take jobs elsewhere, then I would be worried.
