Gosh almighty !! It is labour day. Not the end of summer per se, but most folks see it as such. I don't. September riding is some of the best in my mind as we often get high temps in my neck of the woods through July and August. Still, the calendar does not lie and those of us in more northern climes may well be excused for a little anxiety around this weekend.

So ... any plans. Hearth and home? Clean up the cottage? Ride up somewhere high ? or ... just hang out with the family, buy a few HB pencils and a scribbler or three and tell the youngin that an Ipad is not on the schools list of required equipment ? !  You do say no, ... don't you ? !

You .. ?   How do you spend this first day of September ... ?

When did you post, Bubba?? It's already September 2 here on the east coast!!  Lol

Seriously though, even with a full tank of gas and lots of new pavement to explore around here, I'll be delving into the innards of this computer.
The video card has crashed 3 times this evening and I have 2 contracts to finish up before Tuesday. I may be in trouble here!

Hope it rains like a son-of-a-gun!! Sad

Gearing up and packing for a 15 day ~8000 km run to points South. Leaving Monday early. Should hit Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, possibly Nevada, and then home. The wife is flying into Denver to meet me for a few days and ride with some friends from Kentucky and New Mexico but after that it's a boys trip..... I'm hooking up with the SPAMS riders out of Seattle....... Let your imagination run.  Lol

We're a bit more laid-back out here in BC...ahh...Kootenay time...

I did a mid-week ride through northeast Washington, will be sticking close to home over the weekend.

Went up the Thompson Hwy to the Banff gate,  just 8 km east of Saskatchewan River Crossing, and camped with family.

What pretty country!  And less tourists than the Nat'l Parks.

Lake Abraham was a very intense Turquoise Blue.  Hiked to Siffleur Falls, and also up Thompson Creek.

And it was a good time, great ride, great weather and some great coffee stops.
