Bay Area Triumph Dealers - seeking service recommendation

I just crossed the 24k mark on my Street Triple and planned to have the service taken care of at a shop since it involves a valve check/adjustment and coolant replacement, the two items I hate dealing with.  Stopped at Munroe Motors in San Francisco since they are closest to me - great shop with lots of exciting machines to touch and friendly employees - but seemed very costly.  Over $1000 in parts and labor for the service     That's almost double the 12k service I had done in New Jersey, so I need to call around on Tuesday when shops are open again.

Any Bay Area Triumph owners have a shop they'd recommend for service?  I don't mind riding a little to get to it.

I hear god things about CalBMW in Mountain view, I have never one there for service just parts.

*Gulp*    I hope that's more a result of high labor rates in the Bay area than the average cost for the 24k service.  Like you my 12k was around half of that.

My only guess is that they intend to replace everything that gets checked OR replaced like the air filter.  There are also a few items that are to be replaced at 2 years independent of mileage that probably get lumped in here like brake fluid.  

I'm going to call around and see if I can do better.  Will post what I learn.

I just spent $300 on a new front tire to accompany the rear I replaced on my trip (front just hit the wear bars), along with a chain and sprockets (getting to the point where they need pretty frequent adjustment).  I guess I can't complain because the only expense since the 12k service last September was a set of tires and an oil change.  Suppose I could ride less (or ride the Guzzi more).

I've heard mixed things.  I've been there a million times for parts as well, and have no qualms recommending them for parts, but my good friend Steph had a bit of a nightmare there with her Triumph Legend.  They didn't fix the broken bits that she brought the bike in for (after a mild accident), broke parts that were fine when she brought the bike in and, to add insult to injury, a delivery truck hit her jeep in the parking lot. OK, the latter wasn't their fault but it put the icing on the cake.

I'd call Cal Moto and get a quote, just because they're pretty close, but caveat emptor.

Thanks Andrew and Blue - I'll give them both a call tomorrow, as well as some of the others that come up with a dealer search on the Triumph site like Hattar Motorsports in San Rafael.
