Nice pictures Mark. You should bring a display canopy for your bike
that way it will keep it dry and confuse the others.

Talk about posturing... I went over a couple of years back, got seriously hassled by some traffic nazi (not a cop, just an "organizer"), and just turned around and left. Rode down 363 with another rider who'd come from much further (I'm about 10-15 minutes away) and got the same abuse. I've never felt the need to go back. I used to live in Lansdale and, maybe ten years back, things were fairly mellow. Now...

Hey RB,
It stinks to know someone gave you undue stress over nothing. I don't blame you for not attending. I do like it when it's well attended, because you get to see some neat bikes, some that you won't ever own but you can appreciate them for what they are. Stay safe,

This was very much a case of someone letting a little authority swell his head out of all sense of proportion. As I said, at least one other rider had a similar experience elsewhere in the same circus. Frankly, wading through the posers and hosers even at the Skippack show gets old fast. This year someone from Blue Comet got all gushy about how I should come ride with them and then turned around and told me I didn't know what year my K1200RS was built in because he was drop-dead sure "that color wasn't available in that year". A check of the frame number said the guy was full of it.
