The Italian Motorcycle Owners Club (IMOC) will be holding its 28th Annual all-Italian motorcycle Rally on Sunday, September 18, 2011 in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. The IMOC Rally is the biggest and longest-running Italian motorcycle event in America. If the weather cooperates, it's not uncommon to have some 400 Italian bikes and 1,000 spectators on hand.
As usual, the Rally is held at the Hamilton Rod & Gun Club, 24 Hamilton Road, Sturbridge, MA 01566...from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Judging begins at Noon.
Admission is still only $5, per person. ALL proceeds in excess of expenses are donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (J.D.R.F.). Dealer Flea Market and Club spaces available. Refreshments and a food concession available on-site.
This year's feature is the original, small-Block Ducati Pantah (500, 600, 650, 750)...such as the SL, TL, F1, Paso, Indiana, 750 Sport, etc., along with the Cagiva Allazzurra and Elefant.
All Italian motorcycles and scooters are welcome. No open pipes or pets, please.
Directions: from the Mass. Pike take exit 9, Rte. 20 West. Go 1/2-mile to New Boston Road, follow signs to Gun Club...which is a left turn onto Hamilton Road. From I-84, take exit 3B to Rte. 20 West...then proceed as above.

I attended this back when I had the Falco. It's held at a "Sportman club" in a park like setting. Very impressive machinery shows up. Want to see some Bimota's?? How about 30 Bimotas?
Highly recommend.

So... all other bikes are not welcome? Sounds like a snobby club.

Now, that's a rally I'd attend.
I had the chance to attend the International Norton Owner's Association meet last year, when it was held only a few hours from my home--it was a hoot!
(BTW, there's a guy in this area who supposedly has the largest collection of Laverda parts in the world...wonder if he'll be there?)

Only because you ride a BMW. Beemer riders have trouble with basic social graces.

All bikes are welcome, you just can't get judged. I have been there on a Guzzi, Yamaha, Buell,Triumph, Ducati in the last 25 years. It is a nice laid back meet,no snobs, though I did get food poisoning last year from a burger.

Head north on New Boston Road up into the Brookfields and do some riding after. There are some nice roads here (in my back yard).

What you missed:
My blueono on the ferry.
My man Chris's 990SMT. I really, really like this bike.
My Man Andy's ST3. I had my friend Neil sign the tank for him.
On the ride to Sturbridge we passed a spot that had been hit by a tornado. Mass is not known for tornados so this was an unusual site. Many homes were wrecked.

The Hamilton Rod & Gun Club.
They take killing so seriously they actually breed their own birds to shoot.
Lots of neat bikes.

Gorgeous bikes!
That MH90E looks downright luxurious to ride next to the TESI 2D!
The "odd"-titled exhaust is the Griso 8V, which is stock.
It's nice that the 1940 Guzzi has some firepower in case you have to put-down your bike.
