Iv recently gotten a 1990 cbr 1000f.  iv really enjoyed it and taken a few overnight trips on it. id like to make it a bit more for touring and add some risers, maybe an inch or 1 1/2 in.  the bars are clip ons.  so my ques is, whats my options?  any recommendation?  i would really appreciate your help.

Probably not a lot of options out there anymore due to the age of the bike. I did turn these up though.

Those look identical to genmar risers. http://www.zianet.com/genmar/  but are listing for 91-current nothing for a 90.

If you can get the genmars, that will solve your problem. Have them on my current triumph and had them on my 96 GPz1100. They work great.

I made my own out of steel I had laying around. Not the prettiest bit no one notices them.  I wanted to raise about 2 1/2 inches and back about 1 inch. No one makes anything like that and if they do not for less than an arm and a leg.

Find out what size fork tubes you have (I think 41mm), then find the corresponding VFR bars that fit it (usually a 1.5-2" rise)
