Regardless of which gear you're in or if you're on an incline or not, tell us the most common way you shut off your bike's engine when you park it.

I actually met someone who does that on an Adventure.  Getting the bike back up everytime to ride it has to damage his back overtime.

Key, followed by intentionally stalling the motor.

Wouldn't do me any good to get used to trying it with the kickstand, one of my bikes (dirt bike) has the safety switch disabled.

I always used the key on bikes with fuel injection, because it supposedly let the ECU shut down cleaner.

On the KTM 950 (carb'd) I probably use the kill switch more often than the key because the key is in a somewhat inconvenient spot with cables running over it.

I suspect I will use the kill switch on the 530 because the key is way up by the headlight mask.

i use the key ... i am sure that all the switches on these bikes can handle shutting the bike off for the expected life of it.

the neutral switch on the Tbird overheats and won't show up as...neutral. put the side stand down. it goies off.

Kickstand down, motor shuts off, turn key off. I never use the kill switch.
