Visiting Charlotte, NC Oct 4th - 7th

So I'm heading down to Charlotte from October 4th to 7th for Panasonic's 7th Annual Thought Leadership Forum for work. I'll be staying at the Westin in Charlotte.

I'll be riding down on the bike with the girlfriend I'm so I'm looking for things for her to do during the day while at the conference. We are arriving on the 4th and leaving on the 7th.

She's pretty adventurous and very good at entertaining herself. So throw out any suggestions you may have.

Not sure on day life and fun stuff period but some thoughts.
Epic center (night)
NASCAR hall of fame
Rent a boat or jet ski ( lake whylie)
Bank of America plaza ( shopping eating)
In same area above just do a walk
Pineville mall ( shopping)

Always come visit me at carolinas medical center:)( just kidding)

whitewater center is pretty neat
fri. night 7 till 9 bluegrass at the gen. store in Gold hill about 30 mi. east of charlotte old gold mining town. pretty good place to eat out there.
