Just to protect it from the elements if something is NOT plugged into it at that specific moment.  I can't tell if buying it from powerlet.com if it'll come with one or if they sell them separately.  Thanks.

I followed the link.  $1.95 each plus $97.50 each for shipping.
I noticed that too, but it only shows up that way if ALL you purchase is a cap.  I tried adding something else to the order to see if it was a computer error thing and the shipping decreased to 5 dollars for the two items.  Maybe if you call they'll acknowledge the computer error if that's all you want.

He apparently has a $20 minimum order that he enforces by charging goofy shipping fee for orders less than $20. I didn't realize that.

PS. FWIW some battery tenders apparently come with the covers so that's another potential source.
