Well, I traded my 2000 Sprint ST for an 02 K1200LT Elite.  The way I ride the touring oriented bike just fits me better.  Not to mention fitting my 6'6", 265 lb frame better.

Rode it home from Gina's BMW in Iowa City yesterday afternoon and did a little loop this afternoon in the rain.  Awesome! Smile

The "Abuse C9Y and have a tenderloin in St. Olaf" will likely be my first longer ride on the new bike.  Looking forward to testing it out on some twistier stuff than I get around here.

Congrats Clap

I too understand the "fits me better" having had an FJR and going to a BMW. Seems like the BMW bikes are built for riders that are at or over 6' (well most of them)
