Let me add to that

Left home Thursday.  Within an hour, it was raining steady.  Of course, this is ESTN.  Crossed paths with a real hard core rider near Allentown.  He was wearing sunglasses, a jean jacket, workboots and little else in the way of protection.  We rode alongside one another to Bethel.

Frita found a dirt road shortcut for me to take, in the rain yet.  And I was dumb enough to take it!  Who am I to say no to the zumo witch?

I had to stop frequently to fine tune the settings on the AutoCom, which I had just installed.

Friday I went sightseeing.  I followed a route published in Rider mag back in Sep 2009 that I had saved.  Rode one section of 691 back & forth 3 times; just liked it that much.

Meanwhile, back at the hotel…

I have no pictures from the group ride on Saturday, not even the obligatory group shot.  There was no point in taking a picture of the food, because the waitress couldn’t describe what was in the items on the menu.  I had no idea what we were eating, except that it was good.  And there are no road scenes, because as we all know, there are no roads in Ohio that merit being shown in a picture.  We had a great ride nonetheless.

Sunday, it was time to go home.

Remember that nice clean bike?

A dirty bike is a happy bike, even when it looks a little angry.

10 damn things on the menu and she didn't have a clue what one of them was  Headscratch  Good though  Bigok

Here's a shot of Big Muskie I took on the way home, since we blew right by it on the ride  Twofinger   And just in case anyone was worried whether you could Triple Digit Sightsee on an Aprilia Mana, I took this shot of my trip computer when I got home...

I took exactly one photo the whole weekend: a pic of jimmy's VFR plastic spread all over his bed. I figured that wasn't a good sign Lol

The first one is Ash Cave. the other two i don't know. I would say it is in the Hocking Hills area though.  Inquiring minds want to know.

URite.  First one is Ash Cave.  Second two are on the trail to Old Man Cave.

The bridge is a trip.  I wouldn't expect to encounter that type of architecture in the States - maybe Spain or Italy - but not at a State Park.  Where are the handrails?  OMG!  What if somebody falls off the deep end?

PS JIM - I am not at all surprised by the Mana's capabilities after seeing it in action on Saturday.   Had I known you are OK with triple digits, there were one or two sections where I would have liked to open it up on Saturday. firedevil  Of course, my Wee tops out right around 103, so you probably would have blown on by me.   Lol  Thanks for the pic of Big Muskie.  I wasn't watching for it.

Here is a little video link of Dave and I on sunday running up 16/60 from gaulley bridge to hawks nest look out. We tried to time it to make a full unobstucted run but ended up catching up to a honda with bike rack. Traffic was heavy in the area due to county festival and car show going on just past the look out. We ran up twice and back down once. Good times.  Thumbsup
