Mulholland Hwy accident, 9/18/11

There was a really bad wreck on Mulholland Hwy, in LA, CA this Sunday. I rode up to a pack of maybe 30-40 bikes belonging to the RR club (I think they call themselves Rough Riders). All sport bikes. One bike (that I saw) was on the ground in pieces and the rider was lying in the street, being attended to by his club mates. Blood all over the road.
This was on a straight so I'm guessing it was a stunt gone wrong, but I don't know. Ambulance was not yet at the scene (I passed it going to the wreck going the other way). The uniform of the group was FF helmet, t- shirts, club vest, jeans, boots.
It was a sobering site. To the club's credit, they already were directing traffic around the wreck.
I don't want to seem macabre, but does anyone know any details of what happened? I couldn't find anything.

You are macabre but yeah. That is a tragedy and I'm saddened to hear that.
What are you gonna do? People will do what they want to do no matter what. It will continue to happen because of that.
