What would be a good price for a new VFR 1200? I've been checking around and all the dealers seem to want full retail. There's no way, with the season almost over. Let me know what you think a good deal is. Thanks, Dave

Phase5, are you saying that the VFR costs the dealer 13500? The best I can get out of my dealer is 15995, out the door. I was hoping to do better than that. Thanks for your help.

I was thinking the same thing. All local dealers(within 50mi.) don't really want to deal any on a 2010 VFR.

Did you do a search on cycletrader.com?
I know it's not in your area, but in CA  the going rate seems to be between $12500-$13500 for those that are dealing.

I would expand your search beyond 50 miles.  It's worth travelling to save a couple of thousand $.  Think of it as a nice introductory ride home.

There is one the local shop that has dropped below the list which is why I asked your location. It is still 15 something on the website but I'm pretty sure it is marked less than that in the store.

As much as I have made fun of the VFR - and why not? - at $11500 new it is the best bike ever.

At least they got the price right now  Shrug

I wonder how many they would have sold if they started at the right price.

I agree, $11.5k is a good price for that bike.  I would consider buying one if it were not for my Futura (which I adore).  I might actually consider one if I could get rid of my silly MV.

Well, thanks for the help everyone. I was able to get my dealer down to $14000, out the door. So, I pick it up first thing in the morning, and I'll let you all know how much I like it tomorrow night. Thanks again,Dave.
